Cynthia attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree and a certificate in Allied Medicine in Physical Therapy in 1984. She continued her professional training at the Therapeutic Massage Training Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina, earning certification by the American Massage Therapy Association. Between 1994 and 1996, she studied Italian with a private tutor and subsequently completed her post-graduate studies at the Istituto di Formazione Feldenkrais in Milan, Italy becoming an Internationally Guild Certified Feldenkrais® teacher. In October, 2007, Cynthia completed the Bones For Life® teacher training, based on the principles of the Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education.
